Someone asked me in the comment section about Badarn Jai’s TV ratings and whether it was good. To be honest, I dont’ know. I really don’t follow up on Thai TV ratings because what’s popular over there is usually detestable to me. Take for example “Sai Yai Saward” starring Kob and Stefan, I hate that lakorn with a passion but rating wise it was a hit. There are exceptions like Sawan Biang and JLR. They were both TV rating hits and I liked them. Usually what the Thai people in Thailand like, I hate.
In an attempt to answer the question, here are the results to the online Thai “Hit and Hot” weekly popularity polls for the week of June 29-July 5. I don’t know how accurate it is but it does give a hint on what’s currently popular.
For lakorns: “Phom Ruk Roy Ardeed” takes first place with 44% of the votes, followed by “Khun Noo Tevada” starring Weir and Pancake with 37% , and lastly “Badarn Jai” takes third place with 19%.
Popular Male Stars:
1. Tawin Yaowapalakul 33%
2. “Weir” Sukollawat Kanaros 29%
3. Aum Atichart 15 %
4. Por Nuttawut Sakitjai 13 %
5. Cee Siwat 10%
Popular Female Stars:
1. “Kwan” Usamanee Waitayanon 44%
2. Margie Rasee 20%
3. Noon Woranuch 17 %
4. ‘Cheer’ Thikumporn 14 %
5. Peung Ganya (nang’ek from “Ngao Asoke”) 5%
The Kwan and Win lakorn are even popular in thailand just like in SW! Oh well…haven’t even started that one…just focused on BJ and NA at the moment…can’t wait for the ATeam lakorn to come out woot woot!

i just had to say something too…i so agree with you…but can’t really blame them, we are from two different part of the world so there is bound to be some well i should say alot of difference….
aum came in third i feel Aum’s acting is more polished then Tawin and Weir, i think it’s more of a popularity poll
I’m surprised Ngao Asoke isn’t up there, but I guess you can’t always look at sarNworld to determine what shows are really popular and which ones aren’t lol. I haven’t started Phom Ruk Roy Ardeed and although I’m a huge Kwan fan, I’m more interested in Aum & Margie’s lakorn because to me it’s got a better storyline.
But, I’ll start watching PRRA when tuiQT starts releasing her English subs on YT.
