I heart today’s episode. Yes, I was surprised too on how much I liked it.
At Pantip forum where I got my preview caps, someone wrote,
“Haha…That is such an accurate portrayal of Thais, we love to salvage through other people’s business and belongings.”
At first, I didn’t understand what they were talking about. After watching the episode, I completely understand and it’s pretty funny. If you have seen the episode, you know what I’m talking about.
Poor Gaye, she looks through her wallet for cash to catch a taxi home and she has none. She cries and calls Tee for help. (Gaye:”Tee, where are you at? Can you pick me up? I have no money.”)
–After watching this scene, I have come to realize that Joop, the actress who plays Gaye, is very talented and has a lot of acting range. It’s just sad that she is type casted into playing these one-dimensional nang’rai roles, I think she is worth more than that. I hope in the future, she goes into movies. Clearly the lakorn biz is not exploiting her full acting potential.
Tee picks up Gaye and angrily lectures her, “Hey Gaye, I’m not an ATM machine. Whenever you call, I can’t just rush over and give you money.”
Gaye doesn’t say anything and weeps. Tee turns to look at her and sees her blood gushing from her forehand. He is startled and like a concern older brother, he asked placidly: “What happened to you?”
Gaye cries out, “Oum did this to me.”
Tee sighs out of pity and pulls 2 tissues from the car tissue container. With concern, he gives Gaye the tissues to blow her nose and wipe her tears away.
Tee takes Gaye to the hospital and gives her money for the hospital fees. Gaye gives him a “thank you” wai and goes into the hospital probably for stitches.
I love this scene because it shows that Tee still has some humanity left in him. He maybe a manwhore, a druggie, an overly obsessively ex-bf, a vindicative prick, but at the end of the day, you can’t stay that Tee lacks compassion. I applaud Captain for taking this role because it shows he can be all. Not only can he be a docile pra’ek, he can be damn effect villain also.
As he is about leave, who does he see? It’s Baan.
“What is she doing here?” Tee asked himself. He parked his car and went to investigate. He’s so nosy. I’ve noticed he is quite the investigator in this series. Last time, he went to see Baan at the house to learn more about her relationship with Gun. Now, he is stalking her at the hospital.
It’s so funny how Tee checked every room.
He opens one the doors and interrupts a doctor with a patient in red with her daughter in her lap. He apologizes and quickly leaves for the next room.
Pulls the curtain aside, Tee interrupts a woman reading a magazine.
As he is about to give up, he decides to make one more stop. He heads to the nursery.
Baan is there looking at the newborns. She is startled to see Tee.
—oh how I love his face when he finally sees Baan. He did this, “I got you where I want you” look. Classic.
“Hello Baan, my goodness what a coincidence!” He greets her.
“What are you doing her, Baan?” He snidely asked.
Tee tested Baan by asking which one of the babies is her cousin. Baan, without looking, quickly nods at a girl baby closest to her. Tee makes a note of the baby and sneakingly asked Baan: “So Baan, has you aunt named her baby boy yet.”
Baan replies, “No, she has not named her baby boy yet.”
Tee calls her out, “Lair, because the baby you pointed out is a girl. You’re lying to me.”
Tee tugs at her arm and angrily asked, “What are you doing her?”
Baan remains quiet and Tee looks down at her hand. Baan is carrying a medicine bag.
He takes the bag and tells her, “Let me inspect this.”
Baan grabs it back and they fight for the bag.
“It’s nothing.” Baan maintains.
Tee sees Baan again when she is running down the hospital stairs. Baan sees Tee also and makes a dash to the lobby. She hides behind a pillar and watches Tee from afar. She can’t leave hospital now because he will see her. Luckily for Baan, Tee is distracted by a fan who wants his autograph and picture.
Baan runs outside and clumsily bumps into a row of wheelchairs, causing a major ruckus. Tee hears it runs outside.
Tee chases after Baan outside and Baan almost gets hit by a car. Again another lucky break for Baan, the owner is Bancha.
Bancha quickly ushers Baan into his car and they drive off.
In the car, Baan begs Bancha not to tell Son, Gun’s mother about what happened because she doesn’t want her to worry about her. Actually, she doesn’t want to be interrogated on why she was at the hospital.
Bancha gives Baan his business card, “If you ever need help, I can help you out.”
Baan is confused by his generosity and asked, “Uncle, why are you willing to help me?”
I loved how they played this scene. Gun’s mother marches into the kitchen while Baan is taking her prenatal pills.
Gun’s mother angrily shouts out, “Baan, tell me right now what’s wrong with you. Aunt Somjai told me that you can’t have breakfast and you have been vomiting.”
Baan struggles with an explanation and Gun’s mother gives her a shock look.
Gun’s mother:”Are you…..?”
Baan gives hers a shock look because she believes that she has been caught.
Gun’s mother finally comes out with, “Food poisoning….is that right? “
Baan breathes a sigh of relieve and agrees with her.
Gun’s mother gives Baan an angry look and lectures her, “I thought so, it’s so like you to eat without being cautious. You become like this and that. (Gun’s mother sees the medicine and tries to take if from Baan) let me what kind of medicine they gave you).”
Baan pulls away, “Aunty why do you want to look at it for. They are just regular medicine.”
Baan quickly snatches the bag, leaving the one medicine bag. Gun’s mother picks it up. There is this whole suspense music playing, hinting she might find out that Baan is pregnant by reading the medicine bag. Nope, it didn’t work like that.
“This is….” Gun’s mother utters. Then the camera zooms into Baan and then quickly to Gun’s mother.
“…to cure vomiting so that means you’re very ill. That’s why the doctor prescribe you these medicine to prevent vomiting. You tried to keep this from me right?” Gun’s mother continued.
Baan apologizes and doesn’t tell Gun’s mother the truth.
Tee alerts Nae Dao that Baan might be pregnant with Gun’s baby. Nae Dao doesn’t believe him.
Nae Dao answers him:”That’s nonsense. That girl and Gun couldn’t have done anything because I shoved Baan out of Gun’s life a long time ago”
Manager Bie looks at Tee uneasily because she knows it’s possible.
Another nosy moment. Gun visit his mother and goes into Baan’s room while she is not there. He searches through her things. First, he flips through her school books laying on her bed, looks around some more, scanning each item in her room. As he is about to leave, he spots the medicine bag. He walks over and pulls the medicine packets out. Before he can read them, Baan rushes over and snatches the bag and medicine packets.
Before Mr.Nosy officially leaves, he asked Baan whether she was getting better.
Baan sorrowfully answers:”yes, I’m better.”
She looks away and walks to her desk. Gun rushes over to her side and grabs her arm. –dude, what the heck is up with the grabbing in this lakorn.
“I guess you won’t be going to my engagement?” Gun asked her. –What kind of question is that? Of course, she is not going. She loves you dumbass and carrying your baby I might add. It would be too painful to watch your baby daddy get engage to another woman. Are you emotionally robotic, Gun?
“If I go, I’ll just be a clutter. I wish you and Nae Dao much happiness.” She coldly answers him.
“I can’t forget what I have done to you…but.” Gun goes on the defense.
Baan looks at him and stops him, “You don’t need to admit wrong. You don’t have to do anything for me. Whatever happens, I must be able to take care of myself.”
Gun sensing that she is hinting something and asked, “You are talking as if something has happened…”
She looks at him and remains quiet.
“Baan, did something happened to you?” Gun continues.
Gun grabs her and shakes her. Dude, stop with the shaking and the grabbing. She is pregnant, you know.
Gun shaking her and repeating several times, “Baan, something has happened you! Tell me now!”
She then excuses herself to read her school books.
HAHA. Gun’s mother hates Nae Dao.
First, Gun’s mother insults Nae Dao for choosing such a tacky engagement card.
This is what she said, “Nae Dao, I agree that you’re card is very beautiful, but don’t you think it’s too flashy. An occasion like this, it should be more proper.”
Nae Dao fights back with,“At the store, they recommended this color because it’s very modern and not old-fashion.”
Manager Bie sees Baan vomiting outside and suspect that Baan is pregnant even though Baan told her she got food poisoning.
Manager Bie asked Aunt Somjai how long Baan has been like this.
Aunt Somjai answers, 2 weeks.
Nae Dao calls Tee just as Gaye is moving into his condo. Gaye has no money and nowhere to go, so she decides to crash at Tee’s house because she knows he is a softy.
Since they are not sure if Baan is pregnant, Manager Bie and Nae Dao go investigating. First stop, the hospital. NO clues there because the hospital personnel refuses to give Manager Bie, Baan’s information because of the privacy law.
Since Baan and Aunt Somjai are the only ones home when Nae and Manager Bie visit, Manager Bie lures Aunt Somjai out so that Nae Dao can have a one-on-one chat with Baan.
Surprise surprise Baan, guess who is here?
Baan nervously takes it and Nae Dao searches the room for clues.
She opens a drawer, looks in it, and then slaps it shut.
Nae Dao sits on Baan’s bed. Baan looks nervously at the bed because she hid her prenatal pills under the mattress.
–and the episode ends.
Wow, I actually want to see the next episode.
